Take a tour of St Michael’s church a grade II listed building built in the 1870s on the site of a much older chapel.

The church was designed by Ewan Christian, an eminent Victorian architect who also designed the National Portrait Gallery. The church contains many memorials that pre-date the current church. The east window depicts St Michael, and was produced by William Wailes of Newcastle-on-Tyne. There will be displays of the history of the church and village, local artists and refreshments available.
