Remains of St Michael's Church in centre of Gloucester

The building had been shrouded in scaffolding for nearly two years, after deteriorating masonry placed it on Historic England's Heritage at Risk Register in November 2023. Funded by Gloucester City Council along with a £137,000 grant from Historic England, the Tower has undergone extensive restoration work on its lead roof and stonework. It is once again the hub of the Civic Trust in the centre of Gloucester.
St Michael's Bell Tower dates back to 1465. It has interesting heritage displays on the history of the church that once stood on the site, and two heritage bells made in Gloucester in 1710 by Abraham Rudhall. There are models of the High Cross and the Old Gloucester Bank on display.
