St Michael’s Vault with live music

Access to this vault is from Simnel St, through the Titanic Inn car park. There are steps down into the vault with a handrail. This preserved vault has floodlighting installed illuminating the ancient bricks used to form the vault creating a special, insulated atmosphere.

Through utilising the fascinating history and heritage event in combination with our local celebration of live music; Music in The City should culminate in a totally unique experience for the people of Southampton and the wider community. St Michael’s Vault is one of 7 different vaults open especially for the event, all with their own unique character and atmosphere, elevated through the live music being performed. The live music is diverse with all types of genres and artists performing including folk, rock, sea shanties, afrobeats, choirs and more.

Directions:

Look for a black door by the bins in the car park behind the Titanic pub that is on Bugle Street! It leads down into a wonderful surprise.

The vault is accessed via a stone set of steps with a handRAIL Sorry nit wheelchair accessible - the one vault that is is Castle Vault so head for that one nearby instead (one of our favourites :))
