YOUR COMMUNITY, YOUR STORY, YOUR CHURCH - ALL WELCOME
St. Michaels Church, 348 Church Road, Flixton, Manchester, Lancashire, M41 6HR
There are plenty of car parking spaces in the lay by or on Church Road. Access to the disabled toilets/baby changing is through the church garden in Church Croft Due to the uneven ground and slippery graves stones in the church yard visitors are strongly advised to stick to the marked paths Access to the ringing room up a narrow stone staircase, is supervised and may not be suitable for everyone.
We mainly visit churches for worship, a wedding, baptism or funeral. Sometimes it's good to visit when we can simply stroll round and learn more about the building itself. With history dating back to the 12th century, interesting displays and access to the ringing room, registers on loan from Manchester Archives and people on hand to point out things of interest you will see St. Michael's in a very different way and be proud that this small Grade 11* local church is still standing today. Commonwealth War graves and private graves will be marked with a poppy for the event.
