'On whatever day you look upon the face of St Christopher, on that day shall you surely not die an evil death.' Walks start at St Christopher to guarantee walkers safe passage.
Delve into the religious beliefs and everyday fears of the medieval era in our beautiful Norman Church.

Be amazed, and frankly quite shocked, at the stories told in our medieval wall paintings that date from 1300 - The Life of St Margaret & the terrifying dragon, The Miracle of St Nicholas and The Three Living and The Three Dead. These graphic tales were designed to put the 'fear of God' into everyday medieval folk.

Once past dragons and demons... there is the opportunity to traverse up into the bell tower and chat with our campanologists who are always keen to attract new ringers.
After all this, tea and cake will be available to steady your nerves.
