Victorian Gothic church built 1852 and remodelled after a fire in 1987. Large graveyard with graves of many Manchester Victorian notables. Talks and tours of church and churchyard.

Rededicated in 1991, the church is a place of worship and a hub for the community with weekly coffee mornings, a social group for retirees and a range of events. It stands at the highest point in the city of Salford. Opened in 1853 and funded entirely by donations, it provided a place of worship for the whole community with a seat for every parishioner, many of them free. Sympathetic remodelling after the fire divided the large church into two, with a traditional Worship Area and a secular Social Area enabling access to members of the largely Jewish community in which it stands. Tours of the building and the graveyard will take place on both days, with two illustrated talks: history of Kersal Moor (Saturday) and 100th anniversary of Salford's grant of city status (Sunday).
