Come and visit our wonderful church, which also doubles as our Community Hub. Refreshments will be on offer throughout the weekend, alongside displays and activities related to our local history, including RAF Swannington and Haveringland Hall.

Heritage Open Day 2025

St Peter's Church

St Peter's Church, which is also Haveringland Community Hub, will be open throughout the weekend of the 12th and 13th September. We will have displays related to the local history of our village, including RAF Swannington and Haveringland Hall, as well as other local industries. We shall have activities for both adults and children to enjoy. Refreshments will also be available.

Directions:
St Peter's Church is set back from the road. You can access it using a track which is opposite the entrance to Haveringland Farm. There will be signs to help you find us on the day.

A Grade II listed chapel that opened as a non-conformist place of worship in 1731. It is virtually unchanged from how it would have originally looked with its Flemish style red brick exterior and original box pews in the upper gallery.

Echoing the traditional everyday histories of many of the inhabitants of Aylsham, the Worstead Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers will be in the centre to demonstrate a spinning wheel and a loom and invite visitors to have-a-go.
