St Peter’s Methodist Church, Canterbury

Opened in 1812, the church retains its Georgian simplicity and elegance. Old pictures depict its earlier huge oval gallery and enable you to compare its past appearance with what you see all around you.

St. Peter’s is well known in the city for its wonderful acoustics and is regularly used for musical events and concerts.

For this year’s Heritage Open Day, we are delighted to welcome the Ukrainian Ladies’ Choir to perform on Saturday 12th September, 17.00 – 18.30. There will be an interval of 20 minutes, when Ukrainian and other snacks and refreshments will be available.

Donations welcome. The Choir will be performing to raise funds for essential restoration work to the church porch.
