St Philip and St James Church, Larkhay Road, Hucclecote, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, GL3 3NS
The church was opened in 1851 as a daughter church of the ancient church of St Bartholomew’s, Churchdown to cater for Hucclecote’s growing population. It was built in medieval gothic style by the local architect’s firm of John Jacques & Son, who were also responsible for the Mariners Chapel in the docks, and features some outstanding examples of 19th and 20th century-stained glass.
