The beautiful historic Church of St Wilfrid's Halton will be open Saturday 20th September 2025, 10.30 am to 4 pm. See the unique Sigurd Cross in the Church yard, take a tour up the tower and explore the inside of this lovely church.

On Saturday 20th September St Wilfrid's Church will be open to the public. The history of of the Church and it's unique Viking cross will be on display. There is also information about the war graves.
There will be tours up the tour to get scenic views over the village of Halton the Lune valley and Trough of Bowland..
Refreshments of hot and cold drinks and delicious home baking will be available throughout the day and there will be special activities for children - can they find the church mice?
A range of fundraising stalls will be available including a tombola, crafts, home produce and books.

St Wilfrid's Village is on the left as you enter the village from exit 34 of the M6 Motorway. Parking is on local streets.

There is limited parking available. Please contact Rev Susan at [email protected] if you need a disabled parking place reserved. Tours up the tower include a steep spiral staircase. Children must be accompanied by an adult and aged 8 or above.
