Stanley Ferry Workshop Open Day
Stanley Ferry, Stanley, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF3 4LZ
Join us for an exclusive visit into the workshops and take a look behind the scenes of this iconic venue and explore how Canal & River Trust, the charity that cares for 2,000 miles of waterways in England and Wales, manufactures and refurbishes their lock gates. Hear from the experts in the workshop about the craftsmanship that goes into creating each lock gate, and learn more about the charity from our amazing volunteers. Disabled parking is available at the workshop, but we ask all those who are able to park on the grassy car park opposite the workshops: Stanley Reclaimed Timber scaffold planks, Ferry Ln, Stanley, Normanton WF3 4JR https://maps.app.goo.gl/efodGLg3RVmh8mTZ8 . This car park will close and be locked at 5pm.
Heritage boat trips ran by Best Boating Yorkshire (not ran by Canal & River Trust) https://stanleyferryboattrips.eventbrite.co.uk/
The Pendle Sweet boat and the Spud boat will also be in attendance
