Studio Baum 32-33 Bridge Street

New for 2026 - Built in the 1550s, 32–33 Bridge Street are brick and flint cottages saved from demolition in 1967 by local architect Desmond Waite. As well as a family home the buildings have served as The Beehive pub, Lynn Academy of Dancing, an architecture practice and now Studio Baum, an artist-led project space.

Admire the late 19th-century pub storefront, 16th-century moulded ceiling beams and timber window frames and an original carriage passage leading to a rare town-centre stable.

Cyanotype Workshop: Try your hand at cyanotypes — a historic camera-less photographic process using sunlight to create striking blue-and-white prints. All ages welcome, no experience needed. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. Paper and objects provided; feel free to bring your own small, flat items (leaves, lace, glass, feathers) to print with. It takes 15–40 minutes to make a print, depending on light levels. New rounds start every 20 minutes: on the hour, 20 mins past and 40 mins past. Prints dry in 1–2 hours — collect later or take home damp.
