Surviving Generations and the Architecture of Hiding
Holocaust Centre North, University of Huddersfield, Schwann Building (Level 2), Queensgate, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 3DH
Join us at Holocaust Centre North for a special event held as part of Kirklees Heritage Open Days.
This talk, led by a Third-Generation Holocaust Survivor, will explore the stories of those who survived the Holocaust in hiding spaces. It will also reflect on the impact of survivor testimony and what it means to share these histories across generations and what it means for us to live in a world where the Holocaust happened.
This talk offers the unique opportunity to engage more deeply with our permanent exhibition “Through Our Eyes”, which tells the stories of 16 Holocaust survivors and refugees who made new lives in the North of England. Event attendees are warmly invited to explore the exhibition at their own pace, prior to or following the talk.
This event is free but pre-booking is required.
