Local history and a few tall tales from Bletchley’s best storytellers! Including Lynette Hill, Stephen Hobbs, Pete Boyce and a special appearance by local history expert Terrie Howey-Moore!

Tales Tattled & Told is proud to present our 2026/2027 season opener at the Rectory Cottages, as part in the Milton Keynes Heritage Open Days events.

Bringing together storytellers from across Milton Keynes and the wider area we will be sharing, some true, some … well, who knows … stories of the 500-year-old Rectory Cottages, the town of Bletchley and the land beyond.

Stephen Hobbs tells the stories of the faces on the end of the roofbeams of the Rectory Cottages. Who are those people peering down on all that occurs in this historic building?

Local farmer and environmentalist Jane Lambourne tells tales of farming and the agricultural industry in Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire.

Peter Boyce will bring yet more secrets of Bletchley Park.

With more stories from Lynette Hill, Terrie Howey-Moore and Stella Girvin.
