TVLR is a small local heritage railway charity catering for family visits, lots to see and do including nature walks, quirky railway vehicles including an original BMW Isetta Bubble car with NG railway wheels, Monorails Rides and much more

Come and see the 309 coaches rescued from the now closed Coventry Electric Museum, enjoy the hospitality of the ‘Clacton Café’ coach (weekends only) and pay a visit to the museum coach to see the history of electric railway power as well as the Tanat Valley Light Railway exhibits.

The Richard Morris Collection is now settling into its new home. Come and see the eclectic selection of railway vehicles including the BMW Isetta Bubble Car on narrow gauge wheels, the only true steam monorail engine in the world and ride the diesel monorail circuit. Enjoy the woodland walks, nature trails, picnic area and spiral viewpoint.

Museum Coach open every day, 10am - 4pm.

Site café open both weekends 12th/13th and 19th/20th September. Tea and biscuits available on other days.

Come and explore the new attractions for 2026, new rail trolley trust vehicles and the newly refurbished steam monorail engine on static display only.

The diesel monorail will be operating every day.

Volunteers are working hard to get the fairground ride operational so that it can be demonstrated running, however rides will not be available on it this year.

Special displays will be on show during each day of the festival and volunteers will be on hand to give guided tours of the site and to talk about recent progress and future plans.

Free parking. For more information please contact Mark at [email protected] or phone 01691 780042.

Additional information

The small section of railway line that we own is the last remaining section of the former Shropshire and Montgomeryshire railway (the 'Old Potts'). On site we have what are reputed to be the highest (in physical height) Lime Kilns in the UK and around 20 acres of land that we are developing into a visitor centre.
