The Adams Building
Adams Building, Stoney Street, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG1 1NG
The building was used in the lace and garment-making industry until 1996 when it was fully refurbished and is now used by Nottingham College. It is approx 135000sq ft in area spread over 7 floors. Many of the original features are retained in it. The restoration was a catalyst for the regeneration of the Lace Market. The building is listed as Grade II*. One notable feature is the number of staircases that it has which are all different!! The guide for the event has been involved with the building for over 25 years. This years tour will include areas not previously visited such as the state of the art plant room which supplies heat and hot water to the building and the recently upgraded Hair and Beauty Salons.
