Do you know your hauberk from a halberd; should you quiver at quarrels? In among the records of Berwick Castle are mentions of the weapons and armour stored within.

In this talk, local historian, Jim Herbert will explain how medieval weapons and armour were made and used, placing them in the wider context of the evolution of arms and armour throughout the Middle Ages. Jim will be bringing replicas from his personal armoury for ‘demonstrations’ and for visitors to handle under supervision.
