“The Chelmsford Blue Plaque Challenge” an Illustrated talk by Alan Pamphilon

The Chelmsford Civic Society were invited a few years ago by Chelmsford City Council to increase the number of people recognised by Blue Plaques in Chelmsford. This voluntary project involved a programme of research into the personal history of a number of local men and women and resulted in many blue plaques appearing in Chelmsford. Behind each plaque are some wonderful stories about these local people. This talk will cover 14 people in all, including some who have yet to be awarded this unique accolade.
