Join Elizabeth Devon for this fascinating talk on these hills which can be seen from Berwick. Did you know that they were once volcanoes ? What were they like? Would you have survived? Come along and find out more.

In this talk, Elizabeth will look for evidence that the Cheviot Hills were once volcanoes. She'll then explore the lavas and realise that these volcanoes were extremely dangerous. Comparing how much material has been thrown out of various eruptions on Earth, she'll try to make a comparison with material from Cheviot. Lastly, do you think the eruptions on the Cheviot Hills would have affected Berwick? There will be lots of questions but also lots of answers!
