Come and learn the everyday histories of the early members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, back in the early 1800’s, those who went on to build the chapel on Preston New Road, in the 1960’s, and the people who worship there now.

Discover the Family Search Library, located in the church, which is open to the public, where family records can be searched free of charge.

On Sunday 20th September, at 7pm, join in the evening of ‘Music & Memories’, which will bring to a close Southport’s Heritage Open Days festival.

‘FIND HELP’ events will be held both Friday 11th & 18th September, with demonstrations on how the FamilySearch library works and how to access its free resources. Learn how to get started or find help if you are struggling to find your more distant ancestors. Information about the FamilySearch Library can be obtained by visiting the website www.familysearch.org Typically, the centre in Southport, is open each Wednesday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, on the last Friday of the month 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m, or by special arrangement.
