The Home of the first British made Jukebox, come and find out about how the first British jukeboxes were made here on the Fylde Coast. Enjoy the amazing sounds of the Jukeboxes that first appeared in coffee bars and milk bars back in 1947.

Welcome to the home of the first British Jukebox. Take a trip back in time, when Jukebox music was in every coffee bar and milk bar in the UK.

These Ditchburn Jukeboxes were manufactured here on the Fylde coast and brought Rock n Roll to the youth of Great Britain at a time when imports of American Jukeboxes were banned and listening to music was limited, because there was only one BBC radio station at that time, that played mostly classical and dance band music.

The museum features a collection of the first British Jukeboxes, Vending Machines, and Background Music Systems that were first built here in 1947.

Admission is FREE and we would like to invite you in to experience the time of being in a coffee bar back in the 1950s, you can relax and bring back memories of your youth whilst listening to the sounds of the 50s, 60s and 70s on these wonderful Jukeboxes.

Please visit and support us to keep an important slice of local history alive.
