26 Westgate Street, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, GL1 2NG
Believed to be Britain’s finest example of a timber framed town house. Built in 1560, it was once the hall of the Grocers’ Guild, the mansion house of a Mayor of Gloucester and, in the 19th Century, a lodging for assize judges.
