The Good, the Bad and the still Ugly: A brief history of the Harrow Local History Collection Stores
Headstone Manor, Pinner View, Harrow, Greater London, HA2 6PX
We are proud to announce our newly renovated archive store and invite you to have a look around. Please join us as we regale you with an introduction to the Harrow Local History Collection, and its journey across architectural environments, for the better and the worse, and the remaining ugly bits we would like to forget about!
Find out about the various buildings the collections were stored in, the change we have made, and the ideal conditions to preserve archival material, as well as what the archivist does day to day. As well as exploring our storage spaces, this will be an opportunity to view highlights of our collection relating to architecture. This will include material used in our various exhibitions for our 60th anniversary celebrations, photographs of forgone buildings, or current ones in the past, maps and plans including from the museum’s latest renovations!
This is a rare opportunity to see a part of the museum usually reserved for paying groups.
