Join curator Dr Janine Sykes and art historian Simon Poë for a revealing comparison of paintings selected from the National and Kirklees collections. Janine and Simon will explore the connections between paintings by European masters Hans Holbein and Vincent van Gogh – shown in the outdoor exhibition – with pictures by 20th century British artists Ethel Walker and Vanessa Bell. Talks are followed by discussion and tour of the two paintings, displayed on the Oakwell estate.
