Abingdon's Old Gaol was built in 1811. With its massive, stone-built central octagon and radial wings it dominates the river entrance to the town. It has served as a prison and more recently as a well-loved leisure and sports centre.

The current occupant, Procision Oxford Academy, is opening the restored foyer and associated rooms. Students have developed presentations on the history of the building and will be guiding visitors around.
