Learn about the interesting life of Sir Charles William Siemens who lived in Sherwood House and Estate in Tunbridge Wells, from 1874 until his death in 1883.
Siemens was an inventor and scientist who loved learning about electricity and he used Sherwood Estate to try out lots of experiments and new scientific ideas.
Discover how his work shaped the estate and uncover more about the lives of the many staff he employed to look after the house and people who lived there, including eight gardeners who cared for the grounds and estate.
