The transformation of Dorchester in the late Victorian period

A rare opportunity to see inside South Court - the grand Victorian House on South Walks in Dorchester and which is now the home of Sunninghill School. The School is kindly playing host to a talk by Jeremy Pope (great grandson of Alfred Pope who built the house in 1893) about the expansion of Dorchester during the late 19th Century following the arrival of the railway and the creation of the town's elegant Victorian suburbs.

Followed by refreshments.

This event is being kindly supported by Sunninghill Preparatory School.
