A tour which contrasts grand Victorian buildings with older and less ornate structures.

The coming of the Railway Station led to a grand new road being constructed to link it to the old city centre. Prince of Wales Road contains many impressive examples of Victorian architecture, whereas the ancient thoroughfares of King Street and Mountergate speak of older and more humble buildings. This tour takes us from the top of Prince of Wales Road down towards the Station and the river by way of King Street and Mountergate.
