'This Family Business': The History of Vickers Oils (In-Person Event)

Join the archivist at Vickers Oils for a fascinating talk about the history of Vickers Oils, a family business that has existed for almost 200 years and passed through multiple generations, making products for the textile, marine and food grade industries and exporting them across the world, all the time remaining in Leeds. The talk will be illustrated with items from Vickers' vast archive, and attendees will then have an opportunity to see archival material on display. Please note that this event will not include a tour of the site.

Directions:

The entrance to Vickers Oils is situated on a large industrial estate, and is approximately a ten-minute walk from the Royal Armouries Museum. Upon arrival please give the gate staff your name and the reason for your arrival. You will then be directed to reception where the archivist will be waiting for you.
