Enjoy hearing stories about the rich history of Abbey House which dates back to the building of the the original Abbey in 657.
From St Hilda to Vikings, the Whitby Wyrm to The Black Knight (Richard Cholmley) a Witch and King Henry the VIII. Hugh Cholmley I, II, and III with tales of the civil war and building Whitby's lighthouses, Harbour and Civic Buildings.
With stunning views over the Abbey and town from our garden. You can enjoy refreshments in our Cafe/Bar, and maybe a game of Crocket?
