Tour of Aldershot Military Cemetery
Aldershot Military Cemetery, Gallwey Road, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 2DD
The Military Cemetery has been in use since the early days of Aldershot Camp in the 1850s. Among those buried here are soldiers from Victorian times up to the present day, Commonwealth War Graves from the First and Second World Wars, casualties from the Falklands, and soldiers who fell in modern conflicts including Iraq and Afghanistan. The tour will look at both famous and not so well known individuals, but all with remarkable lives and who should be remembered. This beautiful cemetery is still in use by the Army and we have been given permission to take visitors around it for Heritage Open Days. The guide for the tour will be local historian Keith Bean, author of the book “Aldershot’s Cemetery Secrets” (2025).

There are some steep slopes on the paths the tour will be using which are difficult for people with limited mobility.
