The Town Hall is an historic building parts of the building date from the 15th Century with a magnificent renaissance staircase dating from 1600. There are many paintings of note which have been catalogued in a book called "Lewes Town Hall Pictures" which will be available for sale. The magnificent Assembly Room which is used for concerts, civic events, and many other occasions will be available to view alongside the oak panelled Council Chamber and the Mayors Parlour.
