Trent Bridge - cricket ground and heritage centre

Discover Trent Bridge’s best kept secret - the world's second-largest cricket library and archive - to learn about the history of this world-famous cricket ground and the County Club, and about the redevelopment plans for the historic Pavilion. Meet the team who discover and share this fascinating story, and learn more about our heritage programme. Watch our skilled volunteers cleaning and repairing old books and documents (Mon & Tue only). Then see how we know whether a historic cricket bat is being eaten by woodworm. See ‘A Cricketing Cathedral’, a new stained-glass window and explore a unique collection cricket-themed postage stamps from around the world. Enjoy great views of city and county from the highest grandstand (places limited, bookable on arrival) and take a fascinating new guided tour around the outside of the ground. With plenty of social history and local interest stories – including ‘Cricketer & Stockinger’, a new exhibition about the links between Framework Knitting and cricket, and other displays about the history of women's cricket, what happened here during both World Wars, and a visit by the Australian Aboriginal team in 1868 - you don't need to be a cricket enthusiast to enjoy a visit!
