Discover the secrets behind the many stories, fables and fairytales that decorate the walls of Two Temple Place with our digital Literary Guide.

Two Temple Place, a neo-Tudor gem by the River Thames, is home to many stories, fables and fairytales. Embedded in the carved interior are characters from English, French, American and Ancient literature and to celebrate Heritage Open Days 2026 and the National Year of Reading, we’re guiding you through them all.

Join us on Instagram throughout the festival to find out about our Shakespeare frieze, statues from The Last of the Mohicans and The Three Musketeers, our golden Arthurian heroines, and carved mythical mermaids (as well as much more!).

All you need to do is follow @twotempleplace (https://www.instagram.com/twotempleplace/) on Instagram to find our free Literary Guide.

*The Two Temple Place Literary Guide will remain available on Instagram after the end of Heritage Open Days.
