Entry to the University of Bristol Botanic Garden will be free of charge to all visitors as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days (formerly Bristol Open Doors).
The Botanic Garden offers a unique opportunity to explore a stunning living collection, completely free of charge. Whether you’re a keen gardener, plant enthusiast, or simply looking for a peaceful day out, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Throughout the day, there will also be guided tours led by our expert team which will be a chance to hear the stories, science, and history behind the garden’s remarkable plants.

Dogs are not allowed in the Garden, except for assistance dogs. The Garden is largely accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters, with level access for most of the Garden and glasshouses.
