Visit the Chapel on Ruardean Hill near the highest point of the Hundred of St. Briavels. Exhibition telling the story of prayer and music. Learn of George Williams, Blacksmith’s contribution to World War 1 and his son, Harold.

The Baptist Chapel was built in 1854, the centre of prayer and music on Ruardean Hill. With Dean Forest being extra parochial, non-conformism had previously spread before the consecration of Holy Trinity Church at Drybrook in 1816 and Christchurch to the west of the area. Learn of George Williams, Blacksmith’s contribution to World War 1 and his son, Harold, who did so much to bring music to the fore.
