Walford Mill - From Millers to Makers - A Brief Historical Journey
Location details will be shown on ticket, Wimborne Minster, Dorset, BH21
Using material from the Mill's own archive, this illustrated talk will cover highlights of the Mill's history over more than 500 years. These include its origins, structural changes, subsequent uses and conversion to an arts and crafts centre. There will be time for a short tour inside the building (please mind your head) and outside too, weather permitting.
The presentation will take place in the Mill's ground floor Education Room. The building tour involves low ceiling beams and wooden staircases. Wheelchair access is available to the ground floor, gallery and mezzanine floor areas. Upper floors are only accessible only by wooden stairs. Lunch and refreshments will be available at Little Pickle at the Mill café, across the courtyard.
