Explore the foreshore of Lydney Docks, the gateway to the Forest of Dean. Trace its industrial roots and the reclamation of the site by nature.

Lydney Harbour was a prominent local harbour particularly for coal and iron ore. The current complex was built by the Severn and Wye Railway and Canal Company 1809-13. It remained in use commercially until the 1970s. It was extensively restored and reopened for public use in 2005.

Travel to A48 (Lydney By-pass) turn right onto Harbour Road (B4231) continue past Lydney Lydney Train Station and straight on to Lydney Docks and Destination Harbourside!
