Walking Tour of Bishop's Waltham
Bishop's Waltham Museum, Bishop's Waltham Palace, Station Road, Bishop's Waltham, Hampshire, SO32 1SB
Bishop's Waltham was a planned medieval town whose prosperity has ebbed and flowed. Starting at Bishop's Waltham Museum in the Palace, the tour will take you past the Norman church, medieval shops and Georgian houses, pointing out the historic cores of many refronted buildings. Along the way you'll hear about the characters who lived here, and the major upheavals of the 20th century.

This is a walking tour through the streets and churchyard with some mild slopes only. Pavements are narrow or missing in places so some of the walk will be on quiet roads and gravel paths. The museum has no toilets, but public toilets are available in the main town car park. The museum car park is free and usually has spaces, but if none are available, please try Station Road or the main town car parks
