Walks of Life Museum

From 12th September to 21st September, the Walks of Life Museum will be open between 11 am and 4 pm every day, with a feature display on the Vernacular Architecture of the 18th Century.
Talk: Battle of Britain 85th Anniversary Talk, 2 pm on Saturday, 13th September, by Museum volunteer Keith Betts.
Display: Vernacular Architecture of the 18th Century
Display: The History of DOSCO, a local engineering company that produced mining equipment used around the world.
Tour: From 11 am to 3 pm around the Museum farmhouse on the conservation of vernacular buildings and the use of historic building materials on 15th and 16th September - this must be booked in advance as places are limited.

Talk: The site is a barn, the ground is flat, but uneven and access to where the talk is being held is wheelchair accessible. Tour: The house is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies, or those with mobility issues.
The tours of the farmhouse will be delivered by the County's Building Conservation Officer and a member of the Nottinghamshire Buildings Preservation Trust.
