Wallpaper - an everyday discovery?

These fragments are believed to be the among the oldest known printed wallpaper fragments. The fragments date from around the time of the College's foundation by Lady Margaret Beaufort in 1505, because the design is made on dateable printer's waste including a royal proclamation announcing the accession of King Henry VIII in 1509.
