Wardour Chapel opens its doors for the Heritage Open Day.

This unique and beautiful Roman Catholic Chapel, built in 1776, on one wing of New Wardour Castle, shows off a wonderful display of C18th religious artefacts. the Chapel was designed by Thomas Paine and Sir John Soane. Built at a time before free standing Roman Catholic churches were permissible in England. It is set in a lovely rural location.
