Weaving Women – Micro Photography Exhibition
Coventry Cathedral, Priory Street, Coventry, West Midlands, CV1 5AB
Measuring 23 metres tall the tapestry is the second largest tapestry in the world. The tapestry was woven in one continuous piece by hand on a 500 year old loom woven by women in France, using over 900 colours at the French factory of Pinton Freres of Felletin, near Abusson. The twelve weavers were occupied for over two years.
