Wellington Monument
National Trust Wellington Monument, Welllington, Somerset, TA21 9PB
After a 3 year project, we are able to open Wellington Monument up to the public for the first time in 20 years. We are offering free tours for one day only - Wednesday 17th of September 10am - 4pm.
Learn about the history of the monument from our knowledgeable volunteers before embarking on a journey to the top of the spiral staircase.
Places must be booked in advance on the National Trust website. We strongly recommend footwear which is appropriate to climb relatively steep stairs and children must be a minimum of 1 metre tall, under 18's must be accompanied by and adult. We like to complete the briefing a little earlier than your time slot if possible so that you have the full 30 minutes to explore the inside of the monument and take in the views from the very top. At the end, you are very welcome to ask any questions you might have. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your booking to ensure you can walk to the monument from the car park in time.
