You’ll be surprised at who has lived in our small rural village. The young Russian boy with an impressive pedigree. The future governor of Newfoundland. The aristocrats who lived in a mansion and entertained royalty. The man who made crowns for kings.
You’ll be able to examine items including a bell from the battlefields of WW1, the workings of the original church clock and learn about life in a Victorian school by reading the actual head teacher logs from more than 100 years ago.
We’ll be hosting a display of paintings by Eric Fleming, a young boy in Welton in the 1920s, whose work beautifully captures life at that time.
Bring the kids and follow our heritage trail around the village – every child who takes part gets a sweet treat.
