Westbury Arts Centre - Artful Connections: Works in Colour
Westbury Arts Centre, Foxcovert Road, Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK5 6AA
Joanna Stone, resident studio holder at Westbury Arts Centre and a member of AC@W is bringing Artful Connections to the Barn Gallery at Westbury Arts Centre again on 12th and 13th September.
Artful Connections, are a group of local artists and crafts people who met originally through Artists Network Bedfordshire and have formed a fellowship over more than sixteen years, encouraging eachother’s creativity through informal meetups, sharing of practice, drawing/painting/making sessions, and visits to exhibitions.
These artists are also variously associated with The Artist Collective @ Westbury, the Visual Images Group in Bucks., the Eagle Gallery Co Operative in Bedford, and The Wynd Gallery in Letchworth.
“Works in Colour” pulls together our vibrant yet differing approaches to using colour in an exciting exhibition.
Set in beautiful gardens and hidden away from the rush and toil of the rest of Milton Keynes, Westbury is an historic, atmospheric place - home for The Artist Collective @ Westbury who have their studios there. The Barn Gallery is the ancient building across the car park from the main house at Westbury and is itself a very inspiring space.
Other exhibitions and events are taking place at Westbury Arts Centre throughout Heritage Open Days and some of the resident artists will be opening their studios to visitors too.
