Come along and discover one of Chester’s most significant 1930s buildings. The former Western Command was an administrative centre built on the eve of the Second World War, and designed to defend the west of the British Isles.
This fascinating Neo-Georgian building clearly reflects the attitudes and concerns of it’s time, as well as incorporating architectural influences from Chester’s past.

Wheelchair access is available and there is a lift. Parking is available. Blue Badge spaces are available. The underground bunkers are not safe to be visited by the public at this time.
