Wetherby Masonic Hall Open Day

Step inside Wetherby Masonic Hall as part of Heritage Open Days to discover the history, traditions, and community work of local Freemasonry. Members from male lodges Lascelles and Calcaria, along with female lodge Lodge Achievement, will be available throughout the day to answer questions, share insights, and discuss their respective lodges.

A key highlight is a detailed look at the history of Lascelles Lodge No. 4796, which recently celebrated its centenary. Consecrated in December 1925 by Henry Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood, the lodge originally met in Wetherby Town Hall before moving to Great North Road (later renamed to Deighton Road) in 1927. Having amalgamated with Power Lodge in 2004, Lascelles Lodge proudly carries forward 100 years of brotherhood and charitable giving in the local area.

In addition to exploring historic lodge artefacts, visitors can meet representatives from local community partners. The 1st Wetherby Scout Group will be in attendance, along with a volunteer rider and motorcycle from Yorkshire Blood Bikes, and representatives from the Widows Sons Masonic Riding group.

Complimentary tea and coffee will be provided for all visitors throughout the day, and the hall bar will also be open serving refreshments. Everyone is welcome to pop in and explore.
