A walking tour along Leicester's Wharf Street taking in the social and building history of this street. James Gunn of the Leicester Civic Society will lead the walk with many old photographs along the way. The walk will finish near Leicester College.

Starting from outside Curve we will walk down Wharf Street which is perhaps one of the less glamorous parts of Leicester but does include plenty of social and building histories.
Amongst other things learn about the 'Wharf Street area' from a well regarded cricket ground, The Elephant Man, a large supermarket, a Grand Prix racing driver and a canal!
James Gunn of the Leicester Civic Society will lead the walk with many old photographs along the way.
This linear walk will finish near Leicester College, Belgrave Road.
