Willen Photography Walk
Meet at the Tree Cathedral car park, off Livingstone Drive, Bradville, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK15 9ED
Join Nicky Kenny for a relaxed photography walk, with a focus on composition skills, around the northern area of Willen Lake. The walk will explore the beautiful landscape architecture as well as some of the iconic built architecture of MK. The walk is suitable for adults, families and friendly dogs. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No previous photography experience is necessary, just bring your camera phone or camera and suitable clothing for a relaxed two hour stroll outdoors. The walk begins at the beautiful Tree Cathedral, which is made entirely from bark and leaves and goes on to explore other unusual landscape architecture sites in the area such as the Medicine Wheel and The Labyrinth. The walk will also stop to photograph the architecturally striking Peace Pagoda. Built in 1980 it was the first of its kind in the Western hemisphere. If the group have time the walk will continue to the church of St Mary Magdalene, a Grade-1 listed classical church built in 1680 and then return alongside Willen Lake to end the walk at Willen Observation Wheel. Some of the walk will go across grass and uneven surfaces but will never be far away from even paths.
